On the Sunday 29th May 2011 we will officially open Nottingham Hackspace 2.0 at the Big Open Day Event this will happen, ready or not!
Guests will be invited to attend from other Hackspaces & the event will be as widely advertised locally & nationally as possible. This should be both a celebration of the new Hackspace & a publicity/recruitment opportunity.
Summary
The day will be split into two parts.
The 1st Part: Members, friends and guest of Nottingham Hackspace will bring projects/items of interest etc to show to the general public. There will be a demos, presentations, tours etc of the Hackspace.
The 2nd Part The Hackspace Warming Party from 16:00 will include eating drinking & making merry.
Running Order (Provisional)
A rough running order for the day:
- 09:00 - We'll be setting things up.
- 10:00 - Doors open to the public - giant project show and tell.
- 16:00 - Closes to the public (open day is over)
- 16:01 - Nottingham Hackspace members, friends & guests get the party started!
- 22:00ish - Stagger home happy & contented.
