This pledge is for a Slotting Head to fit the Bridgeport mill, the example in mind being an Original Equipment type E Head.
What it is
A slotter cuts square edged holes in metal, usually for keyways to hold gears onto shafts or splines, and also allows forming of gears from scratch and v-grooves which would otherwise be impossible by milling.
The ability to make keyed parts would be both a useful addition to our capabilities, and a boon to our ability to repair the other machines in the space.

As of 18/08/2018 the slotter is installed and working.
Keen users should be aware that it takes 5/8" round HSS toolbits; the 5/8" size is now depreciated, and the only supplier of new material is Cromwell tools at around £24 per Bar.
