The Events team are an ad-hoc team with no formal responsibilities. Occasionally big events are organized by the Team, but not with any regularity.
You do not need to be part of the events team to run an event, but the team can advise and lend a hand if you require it. The #Events Slack channel is a great place to discuss your ideas.
The Team has no regular budget but can request money for organizing events from the Hackspace by discussing it with the membership & trustees at the monthly Members Meeting, if it is required.
