WUNDERKAMMER!

The cabinet of wondrous things! Beautiful, intricate, wondrous items on display for the discerning viewer!

What is a wunderkammer?

What is OUR Wunderkammer?

A cabinet filled with things Hackspace members have created.

Possibilities on Amazon:

(Kate (talk) - I like the 12-drawer one)

What can we put in there?

  • Neat things
  • Small things
  • Handmade things
  • Special things
  • Beautiful things
  • Things you've made

What can't you put in there?

  • Things that will shoot out at people
  • Things that aren't appropriate for mostly all ages
  • Things that will create loud noises or bangs
  • Things that could harm the person opening the drawer

(You can have things that pop up, but they also have to go back down easily in order for the drawer to be popped back in.)

Things that would be nice to have

  • THINGS!
  • Lights for each drawer
  • A giant spraypainted Hackspace logo across all the drawers
  • A book with descriptions of the drawers on top of the cabinet

THE WUNDERKAMMER CONTENTS

(This is based on the 12-drawer one)

Example Example Alien Autopsy
  • Legendary Esquilax - See an entire herd of these dangerous creatures, with the head of a rabbit, and the body of a rabbit!
  • Alien Autopsy - This knitted alien was found in Roswell, New Mexico. Be amazed at its strange physiology!

The Wunderkammer Gift Shop!

Once you've seen the wonders inside, remember your experience with a badge of weird and wonderful things.

(Kate (talk) - I have around 250 circles cut out of Fortean Times magazines that I'm turning into badges. These'll be on sale for £1, with most of the proceeds going to the Hackspace.)

Maybe also postcards? We can laser engrave weird pictures onto card easily enough.
