Why
Because we need an EMF gap year escape and it sounds like fun.

- Visit Tim Hunkin’s Under the Pier Show on Southwold Pier
- Visit the radar archaeology of Orford Ness
- Visit Bawdsey Radar Museum
Other things in the area:
- Dunwich, the place that isn't there (but has a nice beach and a great fish and chip shop).
- Sizewel Nuclear Reactor Vistor's Centre)
- Snape Maltings Concert Hall established by Benjamin Britten
- Snape Marshes Nature Reserve
- Traffic queues for miles at Elveden (Thetford Forest) Centre Parcs on change over day!
- Framlingham -- just because it sounds like a place out of the game Transport Tycoon.
- Bury St Edmunds (en route) -- historic town associated with the Magna Carta
- Rendlesham Forest
- Sutton Hoo Ship Burial (and the rest)
- Aldham St Mary -- The round church from "Detectorists"
When
TBD -- June/July time avoiding 1st -- 6th June (half term) and being wary of 13th -- 29th June (Aldeburgh Festival)
How
Cheap and cheerful accommodation, probably camping, hostel or similar. It isn't practical by public transport so ... car share.
