Hi,
I have been around for a while now, although latterly I have not been around for a while now.
I'm Jelly or Joshua [Kelly], if you prefer.

I'm an Industrial Chemist working in Hazardous Waste Management, so if you ever want guidance on what chemicals do, I'm likely to have a cogent answer for you... Or possibly quite a complex non-comittal answer, it depends how much I know about your intended purpose for them really.
Life can be confusing like that, the Hackspace doubly so.

I used to work in a sawmill and in a joiners shop before I went to university, as a result I know a reasonable amount about woodwork, wood machining, setting/fettling machines and sharpening saw blades. Off the back of that I also have a fairly compete set of joinery tools, and if you need a specific tool for a job or are unsure what tool might be best for a task I'm happy to lend you mine to try, or even show you how to use the right tool if I have something oddly specific for that job.

I'm slowly becoming versed in a variety of machining operations, heat treatment, metal punching and pattern-making. That all came out of a plan to make my own saw blades using a fly-press, which sort of snowballed into a full on interest in model (and maybe not-so model) engineering once I realised that it wasn't as inaccessible as I thought.

My boyhood dream was to own a steam-engine, but now with hackspace's help I'm beginning to see that I set my sights too low as a child... I should clearly embark on learning all the skills required to make one.

I also loaned the space a [[Planer_Thicknesser|Planer-Thicknesser]], so if it goes wrong feel free to pester me and I'll do something about it.
