Potential Boomerang and Silcone Casting workshops being discussed. (edited) [8:05] AGM will be announced soon [8:05] Matt Little joins meeting [8:06] Matt opens crisp packet noisily! [8:07] We did the Green Festival. Lots of interest, made small profit, but it rained. [8:08] £3.26 made on Hackspace Roulette, but now lots of children with gambling addiction! [8:09] for HS2.5 [8:10] £4120 is current monthly uotgoings [8:10] Income is averaging at £5000 / month. £4065 comes from membership, £600 income from Snackspace and Laser income. [8:11] Mouse joins meeting [8:11] Other income: £155 / month from workshops, inductions, etc. However budgeted at £255 / month. [8:11] Membership now at: 553 [8:12] Average payment is lower than expected and dropping. Ideally need average at £10.29 [8:14] Questioned whether we should have a minimum payment. [8:14] Trustees looking at guideline for fees. [8:16] Discussion going on regarding how we can get more income. Should we charge more for laser cutting? [8:17] Laser cutter brings in £426 / month on average. [8:17] Matt Little makes good point that would only affect a subset of members. [8:19] Rent is £2600 for upstairs and downstairs [8:20] Ideally membership fees should cover normal outgoings [8:22] Perhaps we should have a suggested minimum? Also an info-graphic. [8:23] Kate working on a FAQ [8:23] There will be an appeal to membership at the AGM [8:23] General agreement on a suggested minimum fee. [8:24] *Team updates:* none submitted by email [8:24] The team social event went well. [8:25] Now have Snacksources team (Snackspace and resources) [8:25] Also new members of comms team. [8:26] Now also have woodworking team [8:26] Vicky joins meeting. [8:26] More should now be getting done. [8:27] *HS2.5* progressing well [8:27] Electrics about to start to be put in [8:28] Members storage - two done, but now waiting for Bizspace to replace window [8:28] However, have run out of plaster board. [8:29] *White van:* Still parked outside. Dance school complaining. No one knows who it belongs to. [8:29] *A.O.B.*: [8:30] *Woodworking report:* Meeting on Sunday to sort out dust, review portable appliances, make inventory. [8:31] May be older list on wiki. [8:31] *LPS:* NoD items have been removed. [8:32] *Wood / sheet storage:* will be looked at next. Why do we have a pallet? [8:33] Last call for A.O.B.?? [8:33] Open nights have been busy recently. [8:34] Please let architecture / design students know we exist and have a laser cutter! [8:36] Please report any sightings of the poster ripper to the Trustees.
