A quick user page created whilst babysitting a CNC engraving.
Looking at what others in the Hackspace are interested in, I do many of the same things (electronics, CNC milling, 3D printing, making things in wood, metal, plastic, ...) and I suspect there are folks around who know more about them than me - I look forward to learning more. And way back when, I have a degree in Engineering.
So, thought it might be useful to note what I do or have played with that doesn't seem as common.  I've built delrin and acrylic underwater housings for a diving information handset that are waterproof to over 90 metres, including quite a bit of 'what to NOT do'.  I've got an increasingly bad habit of buying and renewing workshop machine tools including a fairly big renewal of a small but steel-cutting capable CNC mill, a lathe and a bandsaw.  My wife somewhat hopes that access to the Hackspace tools might curtail this (Hmmm).
Current wee project is making a wood and resin table with embedded Lego mini figs for my daughter.
