Blast Gates are part of the Dusty Area's extraction system.
Overview
The Large dust collector attached to the Table Saw has now been customised with three "Blast Gates". This allows the suction to be switched between three stations. Currently, that includes the table saw, a flexible connection for Router or the planer thicknesser, in addition to "Sweep" a sort of dustpan with vacuum attachment.
Use
The suction can be directed to each of the individual stations by opening and closing each of the gates appropriate to the station in use.
