Part one, Technical Skills workshop

Nottingham hackspace run basic skills courses in association with West Notts College.
To use any equipment in the Metalwork area where an Induction is mandatory, members must attend one of the regular skills courses appropriate to the equipment they wish to use.
Courses run by west Notts College include health and Safety and basic skills.

Part two, hackspace Induction

Nottingham hackspace machine specific safety and operation

After attending one of the South Notts College, in order to use the equipment in the workshop you will also need to attend an induction to use the specific equipment available in Nottingham hackspace, you will need to organise with a member of the metalworking team.

Exceptions

Anyone with formal qualifications may be eligible to skip part one, this will need to be agreed with the Metal work team. Specific details will be required.
