It will take a few seconds for the display to illuminate.
Check build plate positon
This is essential before you begin printing.
I have found many times that what I though was a well placed build plate (because you cannot easily see inside) is actually sitting on the plastic guides at the back.
The back of the build plate must be between the plastic tabs.
Check with your finger that the plate is not sitting on top of either of the tabs.

The plate is not seated correctly and will probably result in the print head hitting and damaging the plate and head Check with your finger that the plate is not sitting on top of either of the tabs.

Check build plate is Clean
Please check the print plate is clean before you start. Dust, grease and previous users plastic detritus will all hinder your efforts to get a good print.
Sometimes first layers dont seem to want to "stick" to the build plate, this is usually due to grease/dirt from fingers previously touching the build plate. To try and remedy this - using a little washing up liquid and water (not Soap) - wash the plate - rinse with clean water and dry the plate with a paper towel. This tends to solve 99% of bed adhesion issues. There is a sink in the BLUE ROOM next door.
Loading Filament
Quick guide:-
- Feed filament into tube until it passes through to the nozzle and stops feeding.
On the display:-
- Navigate to the Nozzle symbol and hit ok
- Navigate to Feeding and hit ok
- Choose LOAD and hit ok
- Filament should start to feed
- Watch the nozzle to see your filament colour start to extrude
- Send your print to the machine and start printing
With pictures:- Hang your filament reel on the back of the machine and feed the filament into the small feed tube.

Choose the LOAD option

Finished Printing
Finished prints will be (slightly) stuck to the print bed. To remove them lift the print bed off the printer and set it aside to cool for a few minutes. The print bed is flexible. Once cool a gentle flexing of the bed is often enough to detach the print. Small pieces can sometimes remain stuck and be difficult to grip to release. If this is the case then the plastic scrapers can be used to help pry the parts from the bed. NEVER use metal tools to do this.
Unloading Filament
On the display:-
- Navigate to the Nozzle symbol and hit ok
- Navigate to Feeding and hit ok
- Choose UNLOAD and hit ok
- Filament should start heat up and be cut ready for removal
- The display will tell you when to pull back the filament

3D Print Area Tools
There are various tools available in the 3D print area for snipping filament, helping remove prints from the bed and maintaining the printers. Please use the correct tool for the job and if tools are missing let the Team:3D_Printing know.
