Requests processed:
- Kitchen stuff - purchased, see above. Orange Squash will be got from a supermarket.
- Ramen Noodles - No, vending machine item, sent on to Snackspace team
- Arduino sized (6.5mm) DC sockets - no, not a resource item, too specific
- Micro-USB phone cables (vending machine?) - no, vending machine item at best, passed to Snackspace team
- Mister Sticky's Liquid Plastic Weld - Russell H - approved by all (once we can find it for sale)
- Acetone and Isopropanol (IPA) 5 litre bottles approved by Safety Team - Lionel purchased on eBay via. Matt Lloyd.
- Altered web forms a little to add supplier suggestions option
- Russell has offered to help volunteer
- Debit card - Waiting for Snackspace to get one then we can.
- Can store in a keysafe something like this (fit a credit card at least): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Combination-Key-Safe-Waterproof-Cover/dp/B004C29BUC
- Makro card - Nottinghack Hackspace has one
Discussion on "cost involved" things, eg magnets, wood, plastic:
- If the items don't naturally appear/donated perhaps we should look at buying them for things
- Noting the price of the item with donation pots would be a good way to do it - agreed by all of us
- Electronic parts can be done soon with Matt Little helping provide a list
Physical space and buying quantities:
- Storage of nuts + bolts currently is a bit small (we have to keep filling up / not best cost).
- Buying 1 box (to fill/keep filled) out and 1 box in storage (downstairs is likely available to us) ready to be used is likely best
- Need to figure out the space we might need
Resources that are used for projects (eg: wood, plastic, metal, etc.):
- "Pay what you can" with a donation box nearby
- Also could note on things like printers, on electronics bays, etc. - cost of printing, of parts we replace; also so people know how much if they have a large project and want to buy things themselves (or through us?)
- Create an obvious system for this
Action List
To do:
- Electronics area stock - Sort with Matt Little - Russell/anyone
- Check with Dominic if he can still take daytime deliveries. Lionel has said he can take daytime if needed.
- Sort a rough list + ideas for materials in the space and where to put them - all
- Ask Daniel if he'll be able to make a set of RFID reading donation boxes - maybe with cash as well - for the "this cost X" labels - Andrew
- Contact James to get Russell on the resources email forwarder - Andrew
In progress:
- Sort debit card - Snackspace should have theirs
- Might be an issue on some sites which require delivery to be same as card billing address. Need to check in the future.
- Sort second Makro card - general work (David Clarke) - Do after debit card
Longer term actions:
- Colour coding and spreadsheet for Nuts and Bolts + Screws since there are so many. Colour coded means whiteboard markers/stickers can be used to mark when something is low.
- Longer lists of items to have as standard. Listing them quickly on the wiki will help.
