This page was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, but we never updated it. More recently Matt said on the mailing list [1]:
"The guideline for taking photos at the space has for a long time been to 'ask any subjects if they mind being photographed' Generally the answer has been yes."
But I often see people taking photo and am rarely asked if its OK to upload them, so I don't know if this is true.
