| Hi, My name is Deanna Midnight, and I’d like to nominate myself for the role of Trustee. | |||
I’ve only been a member of the space for a relatively short time, but I am already incredibly invested in the continued survival and growth of this amazing community of makers, hackers, and creatives.
When I’m at the space, you can usually find me in the studio dismantling and repairing a variety of musical instruments, printmaking, or playing and GMing TTRPGs. I also have a huge interest in fibrecrafts, and my project list for next year includes building a standing/frame loom, with the intention of being able to produce a piece of clothing right from raw fleece and into a completed textile. In the coming months, I also hope to be able to organise and run a few printmaking workshops, and perhaps a few more one-shot RPGs.
Historically, there haven’t been many disabled, women, or nonbinary trustees and a great deal of my motivation for standing in this election is to see that change. With a more diverse set of trustees, we will get to see a wider range of voices heard in decision making processes and a broader group of people served by the space. With a more diverse cast of people in leadership positions, the space stands to expand its appeal, which means a wider and more diverse knowledge base to share, and a greater number of people able and willing to support the continued existence and growth of the space.
As a trustee, I’d hope to help to oversee the continued flourishing of membership. I’d also love to encourage people from under-represented communities to come and try out the space, and to work towards making the space accessible to as many people as possible.
Thank you for considering me,

| Hi, I would like to volunteer to be a trustee for the hackspace. I've been a member for a few years and especially recently have been in the space quite often.I spend a lot of time with the miniature wargaming group and some sewing. | |||
I love the community feel of the space and feel that as a trustee my goal would be to facilitate expanding that community to as many people as can responsibily use it, whether that's through open days and events, or other forms of community outreach.
I have been enjoying helping out at recent hackspace events, like greenfest, and non-technical stuff during hack the space days.

Nominating Yourself for Election
In order to run the election, there must be at least two nominees.
If you wish to apply, please email your application to trustees@nottinghack.org.uk. You must include your full name, a photo of yourself and a paragraph on what you feel you can bring to the role of trustee. The trustee job description can be found here.
You may also wish to include your experience and interests, what you’ve already done for the Hackspace community, and why members might want to choose you for this important, people-focused role.
We'd like to see as many members as possible applying to be Trustees, and applications from women and minorities are especially encouraged.
