Location
Nottingham Hackspace is based at The Art Organisation, Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3AJ. It is inside the The Old Police Station next to Nottingham railway station.
Access
Head through the green doors next to Tesco, and in the entrance hall near the next set of doors you’ll find a buzzer. Buzz for 1st floor studio.
For people with disabilities
Unfortunately the hackspace is on the first floor and there are no access facilities yet for wheelchair users. Toilets are not yet accessible for disabled people.
By bicycle
There is secure cycle parking inside Nottingham railway station. The entrance is on Station Street close to the junction with Trent Street.
By bus
The closest bus stops are on Carrington Street, just around the corner from the hackspace. The following bus routes will stop on this road:
Green line: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, N6
Navy line: 1, 2, 3, 4, 48, N48
You can use Citylink 1 from the park and ride. There is also an infrequent service on Worklink W1 and W4 and Locallink L1.
By train
Nottingham railway station is opposite the hackspace and has direct trains to these locations:
- Manchester in just under 2 hours.
- London in about 2 hours.
- Liverpool in around 2 hours 45 minutes.
By boat
If you are travelling by canal, you can moor your narrowboat at Nottingham Castle Marina. From there it is a 20 minute walk to the hackspace.
By car
Park and Ride
If you park at the Queensdrive park and ride you can take the Citylink 1 bus directly to Nottingham train station (the buses always make a scheduled stop here).
Car parking near the hackspace
There are parking spaces right outside the hackspace, which are free in the evenings and pay & display from 08:00 to 18:00. If you do need to park outside the space during the day, you can also pay by phone; details are on the meters. Note: Add some details here, like rough prices.
By air
Fly to East Midlands Airport and catch the Skylink bus, which stops outside the railway station.
