Origin of Ein the Duck

Ein the Duck was purchased by Tony Shannon from the Victoria Shopping Centre in November 2011, as an alternative to the green gnome proposed at the members meeting on 2011-11-09.

Origin of Name

There are many theories about the origin of Ein's name.

• Ein as in "Einstein duck"
• Ein as in "A duck"
• Nordic name "Einar duck"
• Ein is Welsh for our, so "Our Duck"

While these are all very good, a conversation on Mastodon suggests that it is actually named after Ein in Cowboy Bebop, by David Hayward after Tony asked for a name suggestion.
