Lightburn

Discounted licenses can be obtained by hackspace members by emailing the Laser team via laser@nottinghack.org.uk. This is useful for testing the software and preparing your files prior to using the laser cutter.

Activating a License and Configuring Lightburn

1. Email the Laser Team and request a Lightburn license. The Laser Team will generate a license for you and forward it on to you.
2. Install the software. The first time you open it you will be asked to enter the license information
   1. Enter the license key provided by the laser team
   2. You will be asked to pay a fee - This is £29
3. Once the license is activated, you can configure the laser cutter so that the settings will match what we use in the hackspace.
   1. Select "Rudia" as the laser cutter
   2. The cutting area is 1300x900
