Discounted licenses can be obtained by hackspace members by emailing the Laser team via laser@nottinghack.org.uk. This is useful for testing the software and preparing your files prior to using the laser cutter.
Activating a License and Configuring Lightburn
- Email the Laser Team and request a Lightburn license. The Laser Team will generate a license for you and forward it on to you.
- Install the software. The first time you open it you will be asked to enter the license information
- Enter the license key provided by the laser team
- You will be asked to pay a fee - This is £29
- Once the license is activated, you can configure the laser cutter so that the settings will match what we use in the hackspace.
- Select "Rudia" as the laser cutter
- The cutting area is 1300x900
