I am going to connect step+ and dir+ to +5v and use the step- and dir- to control the stepper. All the other pins will be unconnected. I am presuming that internal resistors in the driver will take care of the 'Free'. I have no idea what C pole and E pole means.

Drive has 3 opto signal inputs, it can be either step/dir or CW/CCW control, Free is the enable signal.
There are also 2 outputs for drive faults.

CW- CW+ Pulse signal input: Drive response to the rising edge of the pulse signal (internal optocoupler current to flow through) signal is high, the range of 4-5V, low 0-0.5V. For reliable response to the pulse signal, the pulse width should be greater than 2.5ms.

DR/CC- DR / CC+ Direction of the signal / reverse pulse input: Single pulse signal for the direction, in order to ensure motor reliable commutation, the direction of the signal should be the pulse signal is at least 5ms establish. 

FREE- FREE+ (6 feet) Off-line signal input: When this signal is active, the drive to force cut off the motor current, the motor is in a free active when this signal is in an invalid state, the normal current of the driver output, the motor is locked.

TIM Pole E-pole Motor relative to the origin of the signal output: This signal output and TIM light synchronization, in some specific occasions for.

O. H Pole E-pole Protection action signal output: This output signal is synchronized with the O.H indicator. Use this signal when the drive protected action can notify the host computer drive is faulty.

Pulse signal input:
The driver responds to the rising edge of the pulse signal (the internal photocoupler has a current flowing through), the signal is 4-5V at high level and 0-0.5V at low level. In order to reliably respond to pulse signals, the pulse width should be greater than 2.5ms. If +12V or +24V is used, a string resistor is required.

Directional signal/reverse pulse input:
The single pulse is the direction signal. In order to ensure the reliable commutation of the motor, the direction signal should be established at least 5ms before the pulse signal. The initial operation direction of the motor is related to the wiring of the motor. Interoperating any phase winding (such as A+, A-switching) can change the direction of the initial operation of the motor. The signal is 4-5V at high and 0-0.5V at low.
When the double pulse is the reverse pulse signal input,

offline signal input:
When the signal is in an active state, the driver forcibly cuts off the motor current, and the motor is in a free active state. When the signal is invalid, the driver outputs the normal current and the motor is in a locked state. It is only useful in some special occasions. Generally speaking, it is not used. It can be unsed. The driver makes the motor run as usual.
NC (7 to 12 feet) Empty feet, no signal.

Motor phase origin signal output:
This signal output is synchronized with the TIM indicator light, which can be done in some specific situations, and can not be connected in general.

This signal output is synchronized with the O.H indicator light. This signal can be used to notify the upper computer driver of failure when the driver protects the action. Generally speaking, you can not answer it.
