Actions from the last meeting

There was an action to check whether the metalworking tutor would like to come to the hackspace to do milling and turning inductions within the space.
Another action for Mark H to find out more about the LGBTQ+ Events funding. Tony also mentions he's been talking to some friends for advice about lottery funding.

Happenings

Lots more Avenues breakfasts 😎
There is a kiosk now above the label printer to print DNH labels.

Metalworking Downstairs

Will be putting up pieces of paper on the walls of downstairs showing where we want the sockets. We will ask metalworking to check this once they are put up

Teams

Not received any teams updates this month.
Woodworking: More of less gotten through all the table saw inductions. The new router table has been installed and a table/bench/thing has been built for it to sit on. Andrew has designed and printed an extractor adapter. A new six inch orbital sander has been bought and is ready to use. Someone seems to have thrown away the padding / sacrificial layer between the orbital sander and the sanding disc. Eddie has also spoken to Carl from NTU Woodworking about getting their information / training documents for planer - this will go towards the planer inductions. Need to check with Steve about the CNC cut part to fix the thicknesser - was this ever fitted? Lots of chatter about the differences between the planer and planer/thicknesser which I'm not following.

AGM

At the Carousel on the 10th December at 8pm. There will be free tea and coffee, there's a bar for other things. Please come along, there are 10 tickets left. We currently have 17 proxies nominated.

Election

Dee has been elected. Many thanks to both Dee and Mark for running, hopefully they will nominate themselves again next week. Dee had their first trustee meeting yesterday

Financial Update

None this month - there will be a full financial update at the AGM.

AOB

Andrew H mentions that there's a new hot end installed on the Bambu A1 Mini - this is a hardened nozzle, so a bit of an upgrade.
Bob asks if we are going for an external electrician for downstairs. We are getting several options to demonstrate due diligence, including asking Matt.
Gareth asks what the is the budget for downstairs. Nothing set firmly, but we must also consider the cost which has also been sunk into renting the space, as well the amount of effort members have put into helping with it.
Eddie mentions we will also get a quote for installing three phase to the donated bandsaw, but the most cost effective thing might be to sell it and buy one which plugs into a normal socket.

Meeting closed

Thanks everyone. Please come to the AGM.
