Power Usage

This page documents the typical power usage of the various tools and equipment in the hackspace. This will be more useful for things that remain powered all of the time.

Ultimaker Original+ 3D Printer

Most of the power consumption is from the heated bed and hot end, during a print the power consumption should reduce as the heaters are cycled to maintain the set temperature.

• Idle: 2.5W
• Heated Bed: 170W
• Hot End: 45W

Vending Machine

Most of the power consumption is from the fluorescent lighting tube and chiller unit.

• Idle: 60W (without chiller in operation)
