Possible matters to discuss.

1) New Bandsaw - Pledge drive / Hackspace contribution. The drive seemed to have fizzled out until the recent 'pay up and we'll buy it this week' postings. The open-endedness of these drives seems to be a problem, so:

propose that Hackspace pledge drives should be more like 'Kickstarter' crowd-sourcing, with a defined (financial) goal and termination date. The termination date should perhaps start as an agenda item on the second members' meeting after its launch - to give the opportunity to discuss how far off-target the drive is, and whether (and how much of) the Hackspace funds should be contributed. 'Marketing' of pledge drives should possibly be improved. How?

2) Dusty area / Workshop re-arrangement.

Should now be almost complete, the glazed dividing wall in place and the laser cutter moved to the newly designated 'CNC area' with fume extraction.

Further work to complete includes arrangement of tools within the area, and plans for workbench and storage (e.g. high level lumber store) within it. Design and testing of centralised dust management depends on the installation of 3-phase power in the workshop.

3) Heating.

4) 5-yearly Electrical Testing. Currently on-going in the Bizspace premises, our unit is to be checked over TOMORROW MORNING. I (David Clarke) will be present.
