The World Class Hacking project has 3 key aims:

1) Improve everyone's hackspace experience by developing an innovative solution to making tools easier to find, use and return to storage. SO THAT WE CAN 2) Improve accountability for both tidying and reporting damage. ULTIMATELY BRINGING ABOUT 3) A sustainable culture of caring about tools, workspaces and consumable use.

Initial suggestions include: RFID storage lockers logging tool use, and giving each tool a permanent home. Permanently marking each tool and allotted storage space with a colour and alphanumeric code, so that it's always easy to put tools back. Reducing the number of duplicate tools down to minimum, and keeping the excess as spares in an organised fashion outside of the main space.
