The Signal SDG1062X is a two channel signal generator, able to generate arbitrary waveforms, and square waves up to 60MHz, with a sample rate of 150MSa/s, and amplitude resolution of 14 bits. The output can be configured as either high impedance or 50 ohm. The high impedance mode is capable of driving a small speaker, making it double as our [[Electronics Area]] entertainment. The rear of the instrument has power, USB (device) for connecting to your PC and (I think) LAN. The rear USB and Ethernet ports can be used for remote control via the VXI-11 protocol. On the front is a USB socket for connecting a USB flash drive - this can contain wav files which the signal generator is able to play back. |

The signal generature was bought through the Waveform Generator Pledge in 2023.

Interfaces
The rear of the instrument has power, USB (device) for connecting to your PC and (I think) LAN. The rear USB and Ethernet ports can be used for remote control via the VXI-11 protocol. On the front is a USB socket for connecting a USB flash drive - this can contain wav files which the signal generator is able to play back.
