Revision as of 13:39, 24 March 2014

A remake of Wolfgang von Kempelen's "The Turk" chess automaton of 1770 that inspired Babbage to create his Analytical Engine.

The major differences are poor sportsmanship and name-calling.

  • Woodcut plates of the original advertisements
  • cabinet
  • arm mechanism
  • chess board and pieces - how modified?
  • Raspberry Pi - naturally
  • FOSS chess application
