EMF Camp 2024/2024-05-06 Meeting
Roll Call: Andrew, Aaron, Gareth, Carol, Jon, Peter, Mike and Stan, Sam (in the kitchen) and Becky, James, Mark
Workshops
- Mike giving an explanation of what the Pop-up Cafe is. (Soya) milk, coffee, tea, etc. Tea urn will be purchased. We've bought 60 mugs and can sell these. Might check if there are pastries but probably too much effort (Carol has volunteered).
- Mike on "Draw your ideas for kids" - need A1 flipchart paper, useful also for making adverts / posters for workshops. Stan to help. Gareth to bring bluetooth speaker? Carol to bring random collection of audio jacks/adapters etc)
- Soldering workshop. Jason not here :(
- Not really related but we might take the MiniPOV3 kits and give away for free / as something to solder during the workshop (maybe more advanced)
- How many kits do we have? A lot of robots, we'll skip the SMD stuff
- Role playing
- Solargraphy
- We got the cans, the paper, gaffa tape in the basket and scissors
- Gareth will take a pin to make the aperture
- There's a tv in the workshop tent and it'll be nice to show examples of what solargraphy is

- Price of workshop set to 40 which will cover all materials comfortably

We can probably leave the robot arena setup so people can come and fight their robots (e.g. the ones they built during the workshop). Sam suggests bringing some of the larger robots for display / chatter.

Bringing stuff back to the hackspace and unpacking James' van. Will need people to help unload the van upon arrival (Aaron to go down with James to help with this).

Our last meeting prior to EMF Camp will be on Friday 24th at 8pm to just make sure everything is finished off.
