Scope

The Awesome Projects team has a small budget to encourage the creation of awesome things, with the specific goal of taking them to events such as Maker Faires, EMF, CCC, HOPE and so on. The idea is to promote the space by doing awesome things which make make spectators say to themselves 'I want to join in with that!'.

Basically, I managed to get the trustees to agree to give me money for creating fire squirting robots in exchange for my soul. Mouse (talk) 23:26, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

What Constitutes an Awesome Project?

Difficult to codify, but you'll know it when you see it. Some things which are awesome:

  • BIG stuff
  • Spewing fire
  • Robots
  • Stuff which can interact with a whole bunch of people at once
  • Things which leave the observer in a state of confusion, panic and deviant arousal all at the same time

Latest Update

The board of trustees have OKed an annual budget of £400 for Awesome Projects. For now Mouse will decide how to spend it. Some more structure might be nice.
