OK, I've imported this from RepRap Matt's huge TODO list (basically making every line a list item (s/^/\*/g) )

The Old TODO list is at the bottom! We could just remove the old list but I'd prefer someone go through it. TODO: go through the old TODO list :)

Clearly a lot of this should link to (or be moved to) the instrumentation page -- we want to instrument as much stuff as possible and it still needs ACTUALLY doing, so it could still live here!!!
