Recycling and bins
- Main article: Cleaning the hackspace
Bins are located at the entrance on Roden Street, if you leave the hackspace by that route please take any full bin bags to drop off as you exit. Recycling is done by members taking the initiative and the contents to a local recycling facility, there is no organised collection. See also Recycling-Policy

Also maintained by volunteers, please help by removing anything horrid, stinky, or past its sell-by date that's unlikely to be consumed.
Ice Machine
The ice machine is a HOSHIZAKI KM-40B, added to the kitchen in August 2025. Currently, upkeep and maintenance are managed by Dee and Jay. As a rule, the ice machine should be emptied and cleaned once a week (this is known as “burning” the ice machine, but absolutely does not involve fire in any way!).
You must not use glass to scoop ice out of the machine. Glass turns invisible when wet, and is impossible to see in the ice well. Ingesting broken glass can kill you, and it will hurt the whole time it’s doing so. If glass does end up in the ice well, DO NOT USE THE ICE. Put a “do not use - dangerous” sign on the front of the machine, and let the trustees know immediately.
The ice machine has a gravity drain, the available drain connections are higher than the water level in the machine. To resolve this a condensate pump (sanicondens pro v02) is attached to the drain outlet behind the machine. To avoid one being energised without the other both are wired to a common mains plug.
