Trello is a project management system, where you can create lists, add tasks to the lists, and then move tasks as they are completed. For those who have worked with Agile projects, it works in a similar way to a Kanban board. See ToDo for more information.

Add your thoughts, requirements and musings about a job here. If it gets too big, move it to a new page under this (for example, ***Todo/Fridge*** and change the link in the list above.
The Hackspace's Trello has lists for Teams and categories of tasks. Members can add and move cards as needed.

Proposal:
Remember - the more information on a task, the easier it is for people to help out with it!
WiFi connection will be setup to use WPA2 with AES encryption, unless legacy equipment requires weaker encryption / protocols.
VPN will initially be disabled, but can be enabled for future use / remote management when Broadband connection sharing goes live with Anthem Films etc.
Anthem Films (and any other clients) will be on a separate VLan & WiFi channel, with monitoring of usage & MAC filtering as appropriate - details to be discussed & finalised prior to implementation.
Servers will have reserved IP addresses outside of DHCP allocation - as can members if required.
Port forwarding can be setup on request if required for specific services / projects.

There is/was a 5 port gigabit switch in one box donated to the hackspace. --Lwk 13:52, 5 February 2011 (GMT)
Note: If the invite page is not working, please drop a message in your team's Slack channel.

Trello for 2.5
Michael has donated everything we need to build a small, nearly-fanless machine - mini-ITX form factor.  The only fan in there at the moment is the PSU, so I'll have a look around at how we can get/make a fanless PSU powerful enough to run it.
Their is also a Trello board for downstairs AKA Hackspace 2.5:

I'll put it all together on Wednesday, and hopefully get it all installed. It won;t have masses of hard drive spac, but it will do us for now!

I'll donate my Mini-ITX DC-DC PSU, case and a couple of HDDs - currently boots a Puppy Linux variant from a 32Mb CF card.

* Tidy a workbench
* Put some tools away
* Charge some drill batteries
* Run or empty the dishwasher
* Sweep something up
* Sort or take some rubbish out (see Waste and Recycling Initiative)
* Clean a loo (see Cleaning the hackspace)

Once we have net access we can setup the server with Dynamic DNS so we can access webcam feeds etc from the outside world.--Lwk 14:19, 5 February 2011 (GMT)

Naming Convention
Volunteering
As the number of permanent devices goes up, we should choose a scheme to name them.  For example, London use names of people in Computing.  List your suggestions below.

* British Greats (such as Brunel, Newton, Darwin, Faraday, etc)

* Great Astronauts

* Local Greats

* 60s & 70s funk and soul artists - I wanna cut on the Barry White CNC machine of love, or get down with the James Brown funk mill.

* AI/Computers names from Si-Fi Film/Books/Tv. See my user page Lwk

Rough Dimensions -
A: 300CM
B: 473CM (Wall to Wall)
C: 280CM
D: 238CM
E: 154CM
F: 191CM (to Hackspace door)
G: 135CM (Approx width of corridor)
H: 120CM (Internal width of doors, not inc. frame)

Now that our pole dancing friends have painted the walls and cleared all the sofas out we have a number of task we need to do in this area.

* Put another coat of paint on the walls - Done
* Repaint the floor?
* Move fridge to this area and attach combi lock
* Move kettle and other beverage preparation items
* Should be able to run a tap into here from the room next door (which has running water? Drainage might be an issue)
* Move the cinema seats in and build them - Done but 2 seats need modifying to stand unmounted
* Reupholster terracotta coloured sofa - Ikea / Large throw needed.
* Make some big bean bags?
* Get matching throws for rolling chairs (to match sofa - on hold - see below)

Note from David - The rolling chairs now belong to the Hackspace, not me :). On reupholstering: Hold off for now. I'm planning on making a video with them to promote Nottinghack, and they might get a bit messed up in the process. We're also thinking of screen printing Hackspace logos on them.

Kitchen Area/Toilets
We should consider doing some work to make sure we have access to the kitchen area in future. If the large 1st Floor Workshop is being used it'd be good to have access to the kitchen. This could be achieved by knocking a door through from the shower room (currently locked for storage by Liam).

We also need to show some love to the toilets. I think a heater (of some kind) in both the ladies and the gents would be good. Maybe a wall heater for hot water?
The gents has a massive whole in the ceiling. Could this be patched with a bit of plaster board or hard board and painted? Can the window be fixed? These are all worthwhile projects and would count towards volunteer work for TAO.

There are usually some small jobs that need doing. You can help out by doing a job that is listed on the Trello.

Viewing and adding tasks

Tasks are listed on the Trello, they can come from or from any member's imitative. Feel free to add anything you want to this list. If the job involves changing an area, rather than maintenance discuss on Google Group or Slack first.

Trello

Trello is used for outstanding tasks, see Trello page.

Trello is a project management system, where you can create lists, add tasks to the lists, and then move tasks as they are completed. For those who have worked with Agile projects, it works in a similar way to a Kanban board. See ToDo for more information.

The Hackspace's Trello has lists for Teams and categories of tasks. Members can add and move cards as needed.

As an example of how Trello can work for a hackspace, see Noisebridge's To-Do List

To sign up for Trello:

 1. Go to Trello and create an account
 2. Go to the Invite Page and click "Join"
 3. Work with your team as needed

Remember - the more information on a task, the easier it is for people to help out with it!

Note: If the invite page is not working, please drop a message in your team's Slack channel.

The board (for interactive version go to Trello site):

Trello for 2.5

Their is also a Trello board for downstairs AKA Hackspace 2.5:
